Using offline maps
Download map regions and use them without internet.
Map sources
Atlas Vault supports multiple map sources including OpenStreetMap and topographic layers. You can switch sources from the map settings.
Downloading a region
To use maps offline, you need to download the area first while you have internet.
- 1Open the Maps section
- 2Navigate to the area you want
- 3Tap the download icon
- 4Drag the selection rectangle to cover the desired area
- 5Choose download quality: Standard, Detailed, or Maximum
- 6Tap Download — the tiles will be saved to your device
Storage usage
Downloaded maps consume storage on your device. Standard quality uses less space; Maximum quality provides the most detail. You can manage downloaded regions from the map settings.
Tip
- Download maps for your home area, evacuation routes, and any planned destinations before an emergency.
- Standard quality is usually sufficient — it provides good detail while keeping file sizes small.
