Restoring a backup
Import data from a .pvault backup file.
Import modes
When restoring a backup, you have two options:
- 1Replace — Wipes all current data and replaces with the backup
- 2Merge — Keeps existing data and adds new items from the backup (duplicates are skipped)
Restoring
To restore from a backup:
- 1Go to Menu → Settings → Backup & Restore
- 2Tap 'Restore Backup'
- 3Select the .pvault file from your device
- 4Enter the password if the backup is encrypted
- 5Choose Replace or Merge mode
- 6Wait for the import to complete
Tip
- Always create a fresh backup before restoring — in case you need to undo the restore.
